Description

Jean Charlot (1897 - 1979) learned mural painting in the 1920s under Diego Rivera and created some 75 murals over his lifetime.
He painted three large scale murals while an artist-in-residence at the University of Georgia (1941-1944) and wrote this book about them.
Charlot's blocky figures were a primary influence on contemporary illustrator Douglas Fraser.
