After a decade as a magazine and book illustrator, serving with the Allied forces in Russia, and several mural paintings, Groesbeck began a 25 year association with Cecil B. DeMille and Paramount working from 1923 to 1949 on at least 23 films including Ten Commandments, Los Horizon, The Good Earth, The Buccaneer, Gone With The Wind, Union Pacific, and Samson & Delilah. Combining a style and technique reminiscent of Brangwyn and Cornwell with the dynamism and scope of studio-era adventure films, Groesbeck's paintings and drawings are beauts! Out of print.
