Stan Lee's 1974 trade paperback Origins of Marvel Comics was a smash hit leading to Son of Origins, Bring on the Bad Guys, The Superhero Women, and other trade paperbacks through the rest of the seventies, collectively known as The Fireside Series after Simon & Schuster's paperback imprint, Fireside, that published them.

Published simultaneously in a trade paperback edition and a hardcover edition, this hardcover was produced in much lower numbers, primarily for the library market, and is quite scarce.

This book reprints stories written by Stan Lee and drawn by Jack Kirby. Including the entire Galactus Trilogy. With introductions to the stories by Stan Lee in his jaunty prose style.
