This beautiful limited edition leatherbound volume published in the Netherlands was the first time the 44-page Freak Show, originally serialized in Heavy Metal, was collected.

This volume is printed in black and white and in a larger format than the original magazine publication and twice as big as the later Image collection.

The book also includes Wrightson's thirteen pen & ink illustrations for Stephen King's The Stand. The thirteenth illustration was made for The Stand Portfolio and was not included in the Stephen King book.

There is an interview with Wrightson speaking about making Freak Show and The Stand illustrations, and an introduction by Rob van Bavel, the publisher.

Laid in is a separate black and white plate reproducing a never-before-published Freak Show panel.
