First, it was a handful of issues of a fanzine called Epoxy, self-published by its creator, American John Pham, and printed with all the good and bad qualities of risography. Today J&K is a book - and what a book - whose content has been revised, redesigned, reworked and supplemented for the occasion. In J&K, a universe without real equivalent is revealed, sometimes echoing Schulz's Peanuts but with a much more flawed atmosphere, a mixture of retro charm and current experimentation, and a good dose of madness and bite. Jay and Kay evolve in a pop and unpredictable world, where a nasty pimple in the neck gives birth to an indescribable creature, and where depressive vampires squat in malls.
