Marie Thorhauge is a Danish designer specializing in character-design and visual development. Her work has a sophisticated Nordic edge characterized by clean graphic shapes, and organic textures. She worked as head of design with Irish Oscar Nominated studio Cartoon Saloon from 2009-2012. Thorhauge went freelance in 2012 and started her own one-woman company in 2015 based in Denmark. Clients include: Cartoon Saloon, Cartoon Network, Disney TV, Harper Collins and LAIKA among others.

This full-color book is divided into three sections: character design, Amazons, and Backgrounds & Illustration. It provides a rich picture of the artist's mastery of both character and color.
