"The Memories of Mamette" is a spin-off series of sweetly nostalgic book-length stories about the childhood of the lovable octogenarian. There is poignancy and charm in the watercolor artwork and leisurely storytelling. 

Mamette has not always been a sweet grandmother! In her childhood, she was still called Marinette, a 9 year old girl sent by her mother to her grandparents, and forced to adapt to the harsh life in the countryside. Fortunately, Marinette already had an unfailing optimism! And she needed to support Jacques and Johnny, two contenders who fought fiercely over her! They should have known that at her age, what mattered most in her heart, was her dad! And this Christmas, what Marinette wants most of all is to see her absent daddy... 

The first two volumes of Souvenirs de Mamette were in competition for le Prix Jeunesse at the Festival International de la BD at Angoulême in 2010 and 2011.
