Description

The extra long concluding volume of this series. Inspired by the film noirs of the 1950s--and perhaps the monochromatic art of Tim Sale, Enrico Marini offers a graphic novel filled with femme fatales bathed in sensuality, lots of sharply dressed criminals and mobsters, and a looser, more direct art style than we've ever seen from him before.

Enrico renders the entire book in monochromatic washes except for the redheaded femme fatale.

The story by Enrico is a throwaway, but it looks great.

From the publisher:

For Slick, things are not getting better. Up until now, he only had to deal with the Irish mob. But this time, he has to cross the Italian mafia.

Rex, for whom he had once worked, coerces him to steal a work of art--and it belongs to the mafia.

In an ideal world, Slick would sail away with Caprice, the woman of his dreams. But we are not in an ideal world. Caprice is herself stuck: Rex holds a secret that would ruin her career forever.

And Slick's troubles don't end there: his team is a bunch of real cranks. Notably Crazy Horse, one of Rex's out-of-control killers who seems to have gone on the warpath. What is certain is that blood and tears will flow...

Between femme fatales, bloody shootings and the settling of scores, Enrico Marini continues his tribute to American film noir of the 1950s.
