104 Sundays, story and art entirely by Harold Foster, and eight pages of extras.
From the publisher:
Our tenth volume fids our band of heroes making their way back to the Kingdom of Thule, battling barbarians on the way. Valiant returns to fid hunger threatening the populace of Thule. The volume ends with Val's return to Camelot, a tournament and new treachery in Cornwall.
Also included are an introduction by legendary comics artist Timothy Truman, and a special annotated gallery of Hal Foster's incredible Mountie. Once again, all pages are reproduced for the fist time from Foster's personal set of color engraver's proofs.
This came from the library of Burny Mattinson (1935-2023), an animator, director, producer, and story artist for Walt Disney Animation Studios, from 1953 until his death in 2023. Mattinson directed Mickey's Christmas Carol and The Great Mouse Detective. He was named a Disney Legend in 2008 and was the longest serving employee of The Walt Disney Company, with a career that spanned almost 70 years. His extensive library included numerous subjects and especially large collections of books on Disney, animation, and classic comic strips.
