This portfolio has 14 plates--two color plates reproducing paintings and 12 plates of preliminary sketches--enclosed in a special red foil blocked folder.

The final volume of Robert E. Howard's Conan stories (published by Wandering Star and Book Palace) was illustrated with 13 color paintings and 52 tonal paintings by award-winning artist Gregory Manchess. This portfolio was included with the 100 Artist's Proof copies and 50 Publisher's Proof copies.

This copy is signed by the artist on the first plate. A number is handwritten below and to the left of the signature.
