Description

Warmly inscribed by Joe Kubert to comics historian Bill Schelly: "7-5-05 / Dear Bill-- / Looking forward to / the current project. / All the best - - / Joe / Kubert"

Bill Schelly would write the Joe Kubert biography Man of Rock in 2008 and The Art of Joe Kubert in 2011.

This was the English language edition of an Italian Western graphic novel with art by Joe Kubert. Excellent art but the story is the typical amoral spaghetti western antics. With a small print run, this English edition went fast and is out of print.

Some background:

The fictional hero Tex Willer, the star of the Italian comics series Tex, first published in Italy in 1948, is among the most popular characters of Italian comics.

Tex is not only featured in a monthly comic book series, but also in a special series called Tex Albo Speciale (sometimes called Texone, meaning big Tex, because of their bigger size). The Texone have around 240 pages and some artists known outside the Tex universe have been involved, like Jordi Bernet, Joe Kubert and Ivo Milazzo.
