Description

A unique copy: Poul Anderson has inscribed the flyleaf: "To Jerry Edwards - Cheers, Poul Anderson."

And laid in is a paper napkin on each side of which Anderson has drawn the face of a coin. One face features a seagull with the legend "United States of America / One Piece of Eight." The other side has a sketch of Popeye with the legend "Liberty / In God We Trust / Eat Spinach / 1999." The napkin is signed "Anderson."

A beautiful color painting by Frazetta of a woman and a bull graces both the front and back cover of this Science Fiction Book Club edition of the Poul Anderson's novel, first published by Doubleday in 1971.
