In a fashion more common in France, the covers of this paperback have been covered with a clear laminate over the cover and around the edges. It has been very neatly done and the book is in excellent condition.
This is the famous and scarce monograph on the four artists who shared a studio space in New York and became known collectively as "The Studio": Jeffrey Jones, Michael Kaluta, Barry Windsor-Smith, and Berni Wrightson.
The book is divided into four 36-page sections--one for each artist. The emphasis is on their 1970s fine art style illustration work for limited edition prints and portfolios, most of which were only available as expensive limited editions, and many of which have not been reproduced since.
