Description

Malcom Willits, longtime collector-dealer and founder of Collectors Book Store in Hollywood, created and self-published this lavish illustrated fantasy novel.

In this lavish adventure "for the child that remains in every grown-up," four boys from 1999 Flint, Michigan, travel back to the 1920s, where they experience the both the high-living Roaring Twenties and the devastating stock market crash of 1929. Author Malcom Willits was a co-founder of the legendary Collectors Book Store in Hollywood. He combines his enthusiasm for vintage cars and history in his picture of Detroit in both its heyday and its days of decline.

Toby Bluth, whose animation credits include art directing Disney's first Winnie the Pooh feature, contributes countless lively illustrations: a color frontispiece, 16 color plates (fourteen full-page, two double-page foldouts, and one three-page foldout), color chapter heads, and copious color illustrations in the text.
