Description

Thorgal is a classic French bande dessinee series by Jean Van Hamme and Grzegorz Rosi ski running 34 albums from 1977 to 2013.

This is a one-shot album written and illustrated by Robin Recht. Recht earlier created the excellent Conan adaptation "La Fille du Géant du Gel" ("The Frost Giant's Daughter").

From the publisher:

Time is the most cruel of gods… Crowned with white hair, Aaricia breathed her last. At the twilight of his life, crushed by grief, Thorgal is offered the ring of Ouroboros by the perfidious Nidhogg. Put it on his finger, and he can go back to his own past, and see his beloved again. No matter the price, there are temptations even the purest hero cannot resist...

About the artist:

Robin Recht is self-taught, interested in different arts, from literature to cinema to painting and, of course, comics. After studing art at the Charpentier Academy, he joined the National School of Decorative Arts in Paris, which he left before obtaining the diploma to devote himself entirely to comics. At ease in different graphic styles, he juggles both mainstream fantasy in series such as Elric (a series crowned with great public success) or La Fille du Géant du Gel (noted adaptation of a Conan short story, still with Glénat). He finally joined Le Lombard editions in 2023 to preside over the destiny of one of the greatest heroes of the 9th Art, Thorgal, in the one shot Adieu Aaricia.
