Beautiful work by an academically trained Chinese oil painter. Most of the paintings are impressive realist figure paintings, including 11 of young Chinese females and 14 female nudes. Some with hints of Balthus. Practically subdued pin-up art! There are six paintings of farmers and livestock and two cityscapes.

Chang studied in the oil painting department of the China Art Academy in 1982, and graduated from the department of fine art of the PLA (People's Liberation Army) Art School. Now he is professor in Shanghai Oil Painting School, and a member of the Chinese Artists Association.
